Carp baked in the oven

Baked carp is definitely one of the basic recipes of Delta cuisine.

Of course, this dish can be made with other fish but the most suitable is carp.

It’s fatty enough, tasty and especially suitable for a medium-sized tray. Clean the fish well of scales and blood, split it on the inside until a flat fish is obtained.

In the well-oiled tray, potatoes cut in half are placed first, garlic to taste, preferably whole cloves, and some whole peppercorns.

After the carp is placed in the tray, enough tomato juice is added to cover the fish, which will be baked in the oven until the potatoes and carp are browned.

Definitely a white wine along with it, dear friends and unforgettable memories from the delta.

carp, potatoes, garlic, tomatoes or tomato juice, salt, oil.
